About

Engine series, 2015

I am a practicing fine artist and my work is rooted in the traditions and cross-disciplinary nature of sculpture and drawing.

As a graduate of University of Creative Arts and the Royal College of Art I have exhibited across the UK, Europe, US and China from Tate St Ives to The Central Academy of Fine Arts Beijing. As well as associations with the Henry Moore Foundation as Sculpture Fellow at Falmouth School of Art and the Royal Society of British Sculptors.

Throughout my work and outlook I continue to question the historical and contemporary positioning of sculptural practices. I have over 20 years experience as an educator within the Higher Education sector, specialising in the development and delivery of diagnostic programs such as Foundation Studies.

Working in non-UK systems including China, India, Korea, Taiwan and Japan, these experiences have driven and informed my commitment to inclusivity and cultural diversity and its essential place within Art Education. Through my current role as Senior Tutor and Academic Lead for the Graduate Diploma in Art and Design at the Royal College of Art, I continue to develop courses and learning strategies to enable students from a range of prior learning backgrounds achieve their full potential.
