In August each year, Wells Cathedral becomes the venue for the annual WAC exhibition. WAC is an open competition and exhibition for contemporary visual arts, establishing a strong presence in the UK art world. It draws artists from places as diverse as Australia, Azerbaijan, India, Italy, Korea, Japan, and the United States.
Open to artists working in painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, photography, installation or video, the WAC exhibition and awards aim to stimulate debate, challenge and provoke, pushing the boundaries of the visual arts scene nationally and internationally.
